What should we test when a fuel delivery cannot be completed?
Test an unfinished delivery before you buy fuel delivery software. Use a sample stop the driver cannot complete, then check what dispatch and the customer see. Confirm who records the reason, who decides the next step and how a return visit is arranged without showing the original stop as a completed delivery.
Put an unfinished stop in the demo
A successful delivery is only part of the review. For the demo, use a made-up stop where the driver cannot reach the drop site. Have your office lead explain what the driver should report and who decides whether to arrange another visit.

Keep the reason and the next action separate
Ask where the driver records what prevented the delivery. Then ask where dispatch records what happens next. Keep the reason for the missed stop clear. The next driver also needs to know what to do on the return visit.
Check the customer view before and after the office makes its decision. Have a staff member read the displayed status aloud. Does it describe what actually happened, or could a customer reasonably think fuel was delivered?
Look for the original record on the return visit
Before leaving the demo, ask to find the first stop again. Check whether the proposed workflow keeps the unsuccessful attempt understandable when a later delivery is completed. Ask to see which details stay with the record when a stop moves to a new day.
