Does the Fuel Delivery Driver App Work Without Cell Service?
Yes. Blink Fuel states that its driver app works without a signal and syncs when the driver is back in range.1 Basements and back roads should not stop the ticket. Still, check the exact steps your drivers need during that gap.
Pick a real dead spot
Choose a stop you know has poor reception. Describe what your driver does there, from opening the stop to finishing the ticket. Use that as your demo script. A general statement about offline use will not tell you enough.
The published tank-side steps include entering gallons delivered.2 Ask to see that entry on a driver phone with the signal off. Then ask how a driver can tell work is waiting to sync.
Check the proof at the tank
Blink Fuel also describes meter photos before and after the delivery.3 Ask where those photos are kept. Put a driver in front of that screen.
A customer signature is also part of the workflow.4 Include it in the same offline test. The offline statement covers the driver app. It does not promise that every connected feature works offline, so ask to see your exact sequence.
Reconnect before you finish
Turn the signal back on. Follow the saved work to the office view. Ask what the office sees before and after sync, how a driver spots an unfinished sync and who helps if the result is unclear. Write the answers into your training notes.
Does offline mean the office sees everything right away?
No. Sync happens when the driver is back in range.1 Ask the presenter to show the difference between work on the phone and work in the office.
Do maps and payments work offline too?
Ask to see each one you need. The published statement covers the driver app, not offline navigation or payments.
Next step
Book a demo and ask to run one delivery with the driver phone offline, then back in coverage.
