How Does a Fuel Order Reach the Driver?
In Blink Fuel's dispatch workflow, a new order appears on the web dashboard and sends an email alert. Your office assigns the stop to a driver.1 That assignment puts the stop on the driver's phone and calendar.2
Start with the person assigning the work
Picture a customer asking for a Thursday delivery while your first truck is already out. Use that as your demo example. Have the presenter open the new order in the office view and show who assigns it.
Keep an office lead at the screen. Ask what they would need to know to make the call. Write down anything missing. Do not assume the driver will sort it out by phone later.
Watch both ends of the assignment
Keep a second phone in view when the office assigns the stop. Check the notice, the calendar entry and what the driver can open. The driver can also navigate from the stop on the phone.3
Ask your driver to say the next step in their own words. Add anything that needs coaching to your training notes.
Keep the office in the picture
Driver management shows driver activity in real time.4 Ask what dispatch can see after the assignment. Bring a late stop or a changed route and ask to see it handled.
What tells the customer the order is moving?
Customers get notifications for order confirmation, dispatch and delivery.5 Compare the wording with what your office wants customers to read.
Is assigning a driver the end of the demo?
No. Follow the stop through completion. Ask your dispatcher where they would look the next morning to find that delivery.
Next step
Book a demo and ask to follow one of your own delivery scenarios from the dispatch screen to a driver's phone.
