How Do Remote Propane Tank Monitors Work?

A remote tank monitor reads the fuel level and sends it to a system the supplier or customer can view. How often it reports depends on the device. Blink Fuel calls Tank Spotter its driver app. That does not prove a tank sensor is part of the package.

Follow the reading to the office

PERC describes remote sensors and digital monitors that send tank data to connected systems. Some report on a schedule. Ask how often your device takes a reading and sends it. Find out how the office knows when a report is late.

Put the hardware in the scope

Our product page lists the customer app, driver app and website. It does not list a tank sensor or a remote-level service. Get the device model, tank or gauge fit, data service, install work and support terms in writing.

Name the person who acts on it

A low-level report still needs an owner. Ask who checks it after hours and how it leads to a delivery. Have the presenter show an old reading as well as a fresh one. The office needs to know which is which.

Questions owners ask

Is Tank Spotter itself a remote tank gauge?

Our published scope calls it the driver app. The name alone does not prove that a sensor or tank data service is included.

Are all monitor readings live?

No single schedule fits every device. Ask when the model takes readings and when it sends them.

Next step

Ask for a demo of one tank reading from device to office. Get the hardware scope in writing before you buy.
