What Happens to Customer Data When You Cancel Fuel Software?
Get the exit terms in writing. They should say which data you receive, when access ends and what the provider keeps or deletes. Blink Fuel’s public data-ownership claim does not specify an export format or cancellation timetable. Check those details before you rely on them to switch systems.
Ask for a usable file
Our heating-oil software page says you keep your customers and data. Ask for a sample export before signing or canceling. List the records you need, such as customers, deliveries, attachments and tank details held in the system. This is a request list, not a promise that every field is available.
Agree who checks it and when
Get the export date and access end date. Name who checks the file and fixes errors. Ask about charges, backups, kept copies and deletion. Have your new provider check a permitted sample before the old account closes. Do not wait until the last day to open it.
Protect the records you keep
The FTC’s business data guide says to keep only what you need, protect it and dispose of it safely when no longer needed. Follow legal record duties too. The guide does not give you a contract right to an export.
Our marketing-site privacy policy covers website data such as demo requests. It does not set the app’s exit terms.
Questions owners ask
Does the marketing-site privacy policy explain app cancellation?
No. It covers marketing-site data. It does not set delivery-app export terms or a tank-history handover.
Should I assume a particular export format is included?
No. Get the format, fields, date and terms in writing. Check a permitted sample before you count on it.
Next step
Ask us to review your exit-data checklist before you sign or give notice. Request a sample in the agreed format.
